I’m an Internet m
arketer and a blogger, so I understand the importance of building links for SEO and the power of doing this through blog comments. I also understand the value of getting “no follow” links in order to receive some PageRank juice.
If you’re kind of enough to add a comment to my blog, it adds to the conversation and helps my blog rise in popularity, authority, and potentially search engine rankings. I thank you for that and I feel that your actions deserve a reward – so I will allow some of my PageRank to flow to your site.
After making three (3) comments, my blog commentators have the ability to create two (2) “Do Follow” links with each comment they make here on Mikaylasway.com. [Please note: I reserve the right to change this number in the future.]
In an effort to maintain some sense of order and so that things don’t get out of control with spammy comments or unsavory website links, I’ve created the comment policy that you’re reading now.
I invite all comments but I ask that you please adhere to the following rules:
1. Hate, porn, gambling, drugs or websites promoting any illegal activity will not be linked to.
2. Your comments must be relevant to the conversion. I don’t care if your comments are one line or 1,000 lines. As long as your comment is relevant to the conversation the length doesn’t matter to me.
3. As much as I appreciate the positive feedback, I will deny your comment if it says something similar to the following:
- Nice post!
- I agree.
- Thanks for the info.
- I love your site!
Let’s face it, most of these types of comments are spam and they don’t really contribute to the conversation.
4. Website or blog URL’s in the website field only please. That means no affiliate links.
5. I use the Comment Premium plugin, so have the opportunity to build 2 do follow links after making 3 approved comments. One link to your blog for your chosen keyword by formatting the name field like this: YourName@Your Keyword. A second deep link to your latest blog post as well based on the Comment Luv parsing feature . So, please do not add another link in your comment unless it truly adds to the conversation.
6. Because of the link potential above (#5) , comments with JUST a keyword in the name field WILL be marked as spam. So, if you prefer that your URL be linked to a specific keyword, take the time to format the name field as follows: YourName@Your Keyword.
7. I reserve the right to delete any and all URL’s you link to and/or comments if I find it inappropriate or unacceptable.
That’s it! Go ahead – leave some comments and build some backlinks… but please take the time to contribute to the conversation. And don’t forget to subscribe to the comments so that you can get an email update on the conversation.
