When I first heard about the Empower Network, I resisted it because I did not want to be distracted from my primary business – Skinny Body Care (SBC). I am very happy with SBC and I personally feel it’s the best network marketing opportunity out there right now. But what I found is that some of industry leaders that I have personally come to know, care for, respect, and TRUST were standing behind the Empower Network singing its praises… so I felt like I really needed to evaluate what was being offered. The more I heard and the more I saw, the more I liked the concept.
In a nutshell, the Empower Network gives its members a complete viral blogging system for $25/month. This includes your own blog installed on the network domain for maximum search engine optimization and traffic generation. There are also two other levels of membership that include elite marketing training in the form of streaming and downloadable audios, as well as video tutorials and in-depth training presentations.
The most important point is that the Empower Network is NOT a network marketing company, so it does not have to conflict with your current business… in fact, it only serves to enhance it (more on that below). The network offers an incredible opportunity to earn 100% commissions on initial and upsell revenues by giving resale rights to its members on the products that they’ve purchased. This is a very ethical business model because it only allows those who purchase a given product to actually earn a commission from it. There are no buy ins for “big name” leaders and there is no promoting a product you don’t own just to make a quick buck off of something you wouldn’t even buy yourself.
The Low Down on Why I Joined…
I have always and will always believe in the power of multiple income streams. I have personally been in situations where my one and only income stream has suddenly dried up and I was left wondering how I was going to make it. I vowed a long time ago that I would build several income streams at a time so I don’t ever put all of my eggs in one basket again. As a single mother, when your ONLY source of income disappears… well, it’s terrifying.
Now, having said that, I understand there is true power in focus and I do believe that means the majority of your time and energy should be placed on your primary business. But I don’t see anything wrong with people being involved with affiliate programs or even more than one network marketing company, so long as they compliment one another (for example, someone may use My Video Talk tools to build their Scentsy business). For me, the additional income from affiliate commissions, Google Adsense income, etc. helps pay some bills and fund some of my training and marketing tools, as well as funding my advertising budget.
For me, the Empower Network is a way to get an immediate cash flow increase and some additional marketing training. Most of the people that I bring into my primary business could benefit from both. I’ve had a couple of people on my team struggle to pay their autoship, even though its only $65/month (yes, times are that hard). And I am personally of the opinion that training and personal development should be an ongoing discipline. The Empower Network has increased my cash flow so that I can increase my advertising budget and pay off some bills while I’m at it (I’ve explained the importance of cash flow when it comes to your business, in the past). The Empower Network is also about learning from genius industry leaders like David Wood and getting better at what I do. What has been quite unexpected, is the community of marketers – from all different companies – working together as a team with a common goal: to become 100% empowered, to take our individual businesses to new heights, and to help as many other people as we can do the same. I love the vision and I love the movement.
Why I Think You Should Join the Empower Network Too… No Matter What Company You’re With!
#1 – If you’re in a top-tier network marketing program (i.e. with a very high cost buy in), the Empower Network can become your funded proposal. In case you’re unfamiliar, a funded proposal is a product or system that is both beneficial and affordable to your target market. Even if you’re not in a top tier program, MOST network marketing companies cost anywhere from $200-$500 to get started, so you can still lead with the Empower Network as your funded proposal. Despite my love for Skinny Body Care, I’m still not yet making as much money as I want to. I simply haven’t have the financial resources to promote the opportunity as widely as I have wanted to, so I could grow it the way I want to. The Empower Network is going to help me do that!
