How to Use Attraction Marketing to Generate More MLM Leads and Hot Prospects


attraction marketingAttraction marketing is all about offering value to your audience by sharing what you know, providing them with the information they’re looking for, and getting them to know, like, and trust you as a leader in this industry.  As a result, these prospects will see you as a person of value and be “attracted” to you naturally, which will allow you to introduce them to your business in less imposing way.  For far too long, network marketers have been taught to pitch their friends and family, and chase down every person that they have ever come in contact with to introduce them to their MLM opportunity. As you’ve probably already found out, this approach doesn’t always yield the best results.

How do you use attraction marketing to get more MLM leads?

First, be yourself.  Be authentic about who you are and where you’re at in life right now. Being yourself is the one thing no one else can do, so start with that because it makes you unique and attractive in your own right. Now, many that are just starting out may argue that they’re not ready to put on their “expert” hat and share what they know… because they know very little. However, the truth is, if you’re committed to your business you’re probably learning every day – listening to audios, reading books, learning from your upline, and doing research online.  This puts you in a position to share your new-found knowledge because… to someone who hasn’t learned everything you have learned yet – you ARE the expert!

Second, you need to create and publish content online. This can be a blog, articles, Web 2.0 pages such as Squidoo or Hubpages, or videos.  You need to take what you’ve learned and the marketing strategies that you’re using and create some content around these topics.  You can write an article and publish it on various article directories, your blog, or Web 2.0 sites, or even make a video about it.  The important thing is to get your content out there on the web so that others can discover it and realize that you’ve got the knowledge that they want and need.

Third, you need to promote your content. This involves using various Internet marketing methods to promote the content that you‘ve published online. The great thing is you can use the same methods (article marketing, videos, Web 2.0 sites, etc.) to promote the content you already have published.  You can also use other methods like commenting on blogs while linking back to your content or bookmarking your content using social bookmarking sites such as Delicious or Digg.  Another great promotional method is to use social networking sites like Twitter or Facebook to share what you’ve created with your friends.

Finally, you need to have a system in place that will allow you to capture your MLM leads when they get to your website or blog.  This is a crucial final factor. When you start attracting hot prospects just having a phone number or email address on your website will not be sufficient.  Email takes some time to respond to and you’re not always going to be able to take every incoming call (especially if they’re surfing the net at night or reside in a different country).  If you  have lead capture forms on your website, you can build your contact list and even send them automatic emails so that they have an immediate follow up response before you get the chance to call them yourself.

Attraction marketing is a great way to generate MLM leads online. Remember, be yourself, create and promote content that provides value to your audience, and make sure you have a system in place to capture and follow up with your MLM leads.  It’s the difference between cold calling leads who are hesitant and distant because they know you’re trying to sell them something AND calling your leads and having them respond to you with, “Hi, I’m so glad you called! I love your work and honestly, I feel like I already know you!”
