It&#8217;s no secret that sponsoring people into your business is one of the most challenging part of this type of business. For some people, leadership and supporting those that they bring into the business comes naturally. But there is a lot more to <em>building</em> a team then just sponsoring people into your business. Here are the key ingredients to building a successful MLM or network marketing team.</p>
<p><strong>1. You need to make a commitment to YOUR business first.</strong> Many people dream about financial freedom and being their own boss. Some even dream about getting rich overnight and retiring early to live a life of luxury. While these things can happen, it usually doesn&#8217;t happen over night or without a commitment. It&#8217;s crucial that you commit to your business and commit to making it a success – <em>no matter what</em>. There will be many fun times, exciting times… but there will also be some tough times, hard work, and most likely some failures along the way. Do not let these things deter you from your path! When you have it in your mind that <em>maybe</em> it won&#8217;t happen, then you are keeping failure as an option.</p>
<p>When you&#8217;re first starting out, you should commit to building your business for <em>no less</em> than a year. Do not even entertain the notion of giving up. Most people give  up right before they&#8217;re about to reach the success they&#8217;ve working for &#8211; don&#8217;t be one of them. It&#8217;s okay if it takes a few months to start seeing real results  in your business. The real power comes in building momentum and compounding on your daily efforts. Focus on building your business, avoid distractions from other people and other opportunities, and perform consistent daily actions towards the growth and success of your business.</p>
<p><strong>2. Learn everything you can about your business. </strong>In order to build a successful team, you’ve got to develop your knowledge about the business your involved with and how it works. It&#8217;s almost impossible to share your opportunity the right way without really knowing what it’s all about. It&#8217;s even more important to know your business in order to be able to answer the questions from members of your team when they arise. This requires a more in-depth knowledge of your business.</p>
<p>Login to your back office, look around, and read the materials the company has provided you. Watch any training and orientation videos that your company has made available and be sure to go through all of their training materials. If you absorb all of the information and start performing actions toward building your business, people will see you as an expert – as a leader – and they will follow your example.</p>
<p><strong>3. Be the kind of sponsor that you always wish you had. </strong> Your sponsor is supposed to guide you, train you, and support you. It’s important that you commit to providing that level of support to your team. You may have been involved in an MLM business in the past where you had an enthusiastic sponsor that brought you in the business only to leave you on your own after you joined. It’s vital that you stay connected to the people you bring into your business and be there for them when they ask for help. You should also share the system that you&#8217;re using to grow your business so that your team can duplicate the success plan you’re using. Lead by example, so that your sponsors provide the same kind of support to the people they sponsor.</p>
<p><strong>4. Motivate and inspire your team members. </strong> People are motivated in different ways and by different things. Most network marketers are most inspired by results, so make sure you share your achievements in a humble way. Make it a point to share success stories <em>and</em> the obstacles you’ve overcome as these types of things will serve to inspire your team.</p>
<p>Another important way to motivate and inspire your team is by staying positive and encouraging about the business and your teams business building efforts. It&#8217;s also important that you make it a rule to never voice any of your frustrations or concerns about the company to your downline. Worries or gripes should always be directed to your upline instead of your team. If you waiver in your confidence and commitment in front of your team they will likely begin to waiver as well, which is almost always a recipe for disaster.</p>
<p><strong>5. Empower your team by providing them with the training, tools, and resources they need to succeed. </strong> In addition to your personal support, provide any additional materials you have found that have helped you build your business. For some, this might mean a book that changed your life or even motivational CD&#8217;s. In addition to sharing the personal development tools that have helped you grow, give your team access to your business building system. Did your sponsor share his or her success system with you and tell you about the tools he or she is using? This information is vital and often it’s the key to duplicating that success. If you help enough people achieve their goals the success you desire is essentially guaranteed.<!-- pingbacker_start --><br />
