I realized last night that I would serve you better, as my readers, by sharing my struggles with you. So here it is&#8230;</p>
<p>The second week of the month I was in charge of a big opportunity meeting for my primary business, <a href="http://www.mikaylasway.com/maakoa" style="" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='maakoa';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">Maakoa</a>. <strong>It was success</strong>&#8230; but I stressed <span style="text-decoration: underline;">so hard</span> about it <em>beforehand</em> that I made myself sick! I&#8217;m not kidding. Why was I so stressed? Well, I was worried about disappointing my sponsor and the other leaders that flew in from out of town. <strong>I was obsessed with the turnout</strong>. What it came down to is that lacked confidence and belief in myself.</p>
<p>That stress and worry took it&#8217;s toll on me. It led me down a stinkin&#8217; negativity spiral that I had to work really REALLY hard to untangle over the last couple weeks. I found it challenging to focus and to get things done. It pretty much sucked.</p>
<p><strong>So, what did I do?</strong></p>
<p>Well, first and foremost, I began focusing on what matters most in my life and being grateful for those things. I also decided I needed to revisit all of the valuable things I&#8217;ve learned while on my personal development journey over the pas few years. It has really helped. Here are a few things I&#8217;ve begun doing each day to keep my head on straight.</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>I&#8217;m writing down 5 things I&#8217;m grateful for each day.</strong> I call this being &#8220;Grounded by Gratitude&#8221; and it is powerful. It really helps shift your perspective and focus on what matters most.</li>
<li><strong>I&#8217;m reading my favorite positive affirmations at least once a day.</strong> I&#8217;ve got a beautiful deck of <a href="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?lt1=_blank&amp;bc1=000000&amp;IS2=1&amp;bg1=FFFFFF&amp;fc1=000000&amp;lc1=0000FF&amp;t=surfing2prosp-20&amp;o=1&amp;p=8&amp;l=as1&amp;m=amazon&amp;f=ifr&amp;md=10FE9736YVPPT7A0FBG2&amp;asins=1561707309" target="_blank" onclick="urchinTracker('/outgoing/rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?lt1=_blank_amp_bc1=000000_amp_IS2=1_amp_bg1=FFFFFF_amp_fc1=000000_amp_lc1=0000FF_amp_t=surfing2prosp-20_amp_o=1_amp_p=8_amp_l=as1_amp_m=amazon_amp_f=ifr_amp_md=10FE9736YVPPT7A0FBG2_amp_asins=1561707309&amp;referer=');">Wisdom Cards by Louise Hay</a> that is full of really inspiring ones.</li>
<li><strong>I&#8217;ve been tapping away my limiting beliefs.</strong> I was reminded of this technique by the <a href="http://www.tryitoneverything.com/cmd.php?Clk=3561510" target="_blank" onclick="urchinTracker('/outgoing/www.tryitoneverything.com/cmd.php?Clk=3561510&amp;referer=');">2010 World Tapping Summit</a> that launched last week. I&#8217;ll admit that the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) <em>looks</em> a little silly when it&#8217;s being done, but I&#8217;m someone who can testify that it actually <em>does </em>work.</li>
<li><strong>I&#8217;ve been focusing on my goals at least 3 times a day.</strong> When I wake in the morning, during the day, and before I go to bed I review them. It&#8217;s important to focus on your goals in order to achieve them.</li>
<li><strong>I&#8217;ve recommitted to reading and listening.</strong> I&#8217;m still reading the <a href="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?lt1=_blank&amp;bc1=000000&amp;IS2=1&amp;bg1=FFFFFF&amp;fc1=000000&amp;lc1=0000FF&amp;t=surfing2prosp-20&amp;o=1&amp;p=8&amp;l=as1&amp;m=amazon&amp;f=ifr&amp;md=10FE9736YVPPT7A0FBG2&amp;asins=0446677477" target="_blank" onclick="urchinTracker('/outgoing/rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?lt1=_blank_amp_bc1=000000_amp_IS2=1_amp_bg1=FFFFFF_amp_fc1=000000_amp_lc1=0000FF_amp_t=surfing2prosp-20_amp_o=1_amp_p=8_amp_l=as1_amp_m=amazon_amp_f=ifr_amp_md=10FE9736YVPPT7A0FBG2_amp_asins=0446677477&amp;referer=');">Cashflow Quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki</a>, but I&#8217;ve got a list of books that are on my &#8220;What&#8217;s Next&#8221; list. I&#8217;m also listening to some powerful audio programs while I perform the more tedious tasks throughout my day.</li>
</ul>
<p>Now, these methods and techniques may not be for you, but they work for me. The point is I&#8217;m not letting a difficult month, stress, and limiting beliefs hold me back. I&#8217;m not giving up and I never will! I&#8217;m excited about March and I&#8217;ve set some new goals and put new strategies in place to achieve them.
