Another challenge? Yep, and trust me when I say I know it might sound a little crazy for those of you who have joined me in the 30-Days to Email Profits Challenge because we are still in the middle of that one (albeit a little more than 2/3 of our way through it). If you’re overwhelmed by the Email Profits Challenge, then I would encourage you to stay focused on finishing that. But if you’re up for another challenge, want to increase the content on your blog, and/or make blogging a daily habit, then you’ve got to consider this challenge
Blogging daily not only increases your authority and the amount of content you have on the web, it also increases your chances of getting leads and customers. In a blog post entitled How Many Posts Does Your Business Blog Need to Grow Leads? At Least 20., HubSpot makes a good case for why making daily posts over the next month could be just what you need to jump start your lead generation efforts:
We observed that leads started to grow once blogs offered a critical mass of articles, on the order of 20 to 50 articles. Customers with blog article numbers above this critical threshold are likely to have enough content to make a significant impact on search engines through additional indexed pages and new keywords with which to associate. In addition, other sites are more likely to link to a blog that offers a steady stream of content.
Can you see how committing to making 30 posts over the next 30 days puts you on the perfect path to reach that “critical threshold”? The other cool thing is the Challenge plugs you into a whole blog community and you’ll get blog post ideas, resources, and support for the entire month – all FREE! On top of ALL that, I want to share a few things that I think will help you even more with the Ultimate Blogging Challenge – check it out:
Free Content Planning Tools – The wonderful team at AllCustomContent.com put together a nice little content planning kit, complete with a worksheet, mindmap, and checklist. Now, keep in mind, if you’re the spontaneous type you can certainly blog each day using the blog ideas that will be provided from the Ultimate Blog Challenge. However, if you’re like me and you like planning and want to have a more focused, goal oriented approach to this then this content planning kit will help you do just that.
WordPress Editorial Plugin – This is the perfect compliment to the content planning tools above, but you can use it on its own as well. It allows you to create your posts in a calendar view, so you can create a complete plan for the month and see them all at a glance. I LOVE this plugin
I also want to share a few tips you might want to consider if you choose to embark on this challenge.
Tip #1 – Above all else, focus on creating good, valuable content that helps your target audience.
Tip #2 – Be sure you have a way to capture leads/subscribers setup on your blog (i.e. you’ve already setup your autoresponder, created your opt-in form, and put it on your blog), otherwise you’re going to be leaking potential leads (don’t expect them to all call you at the phone number you have on your contact page). BTW-I recommend Aweber or GetResponse.
Tip #3 – Don’t forget to promote your posts! Do you remember when I told you about my Three Easy Steps to Online Marketing Success? (1) Create content (2) Publish content (3) Promote content. The 3rd step is important in making sure others know about your post.
I will be expanding on creating a blog promotion strategy tomorrow, so be sure to look out for that and leave me a comment below if you’re joining the Ultimate Blog Challenge – I’d love to connect!

Looking forward to this!
