Remember, you want to target keywords that have:
1) A good monthly search volume in order to yield decent traffic.
[In the video, I give the guideline of at least 1,000 searches per month]
2) Low to moderate competition
[In the video, I mention moderate being <500,000 competing webpages and low being <100,000 competing webpages.]

Don’t forget to assess the competing webpages that are currently ranking on the first page of Google for the keyword you’re looking to target.
1) Are they targeting the keyword (on-page SEO)?
2) Do they have a high Google PR (4 or above)?
3) Do they have a lot of links pointing back to them?

Here is the Traffic Travis (free software) tutorial video I promised you!

Let me know what you think! I’d love to hear if you found the information useful or if you have any questions!

  1. Despite all the benefits, most search marketers don’t spend nearly enough time on keyword analysis because it’s time-consuming and repetitive. With new keyword software from WordStream, analyzing keywords and capitalizing on data is automated and simplified, making you more productive.
